This Seller Privacy Policy explains how Chopzy collects, uses, stores, and protects the personal and business information of Sellers registered on the Platform.
1. Information We Collect
a) Registration & Identity Information
- Full name, business name, contact number, email address
- Government-issued ID (e.g., PAN, Aadhaar, or equivalent) for verification
- Business registration documents, GST number
- FSSAI license, slaughter/trading license, and other regulatory certificates
b) Financial Information
- Bank account details for settlement
- Tax invoicing and GST filing details
- Transaction and payout history
c) Operational Information
- Product listings, pricing, and order fulfillment data
- Order preparation times, SLA compliance records
- Customer complaint and refund history linked to your account
d) Technical Information

- App usage data (pages visited, seller dashboard activity)
- Location data (for delivery zone mapping and order assignment)
2. How We Use Seller Information
We use the information collected to:
- Verify seller eligibility and regulatory compliance
- Process and settle payments
- Facilitate order assignment and fulfillment tracking
- Conduct quality/hygiene audits
- Communicate platform updates, policy changes, and order notifications
- Investigate complaints, disputes, or suspected policy violations
- Improve platform features and seller-facing tools
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations (tax authorities, food safety inspectors, law enforcement)
3. Information Sharing & Disclosure

- Buyers — limited seller/business name and product information necessary for order transparency (not personal ID or financial details).
- Payment processors/banks — for settlement processing.
- Regulatory authorities — food safety, tax, or law enforcement bodies, where legally required or in response to valid requests.
- Logistics/delivery partners — order and pickup location details necessary for fulfillment.
- Service providers — cloud hosting, analytics, and customer support tools, under confidentiality obligations.
We do not sell seller personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Retention
